About ASA
The Attacking Soccer Academy staff is directed by founder and president Gary Nemeth. Coach Nemeth is a former division 1 collegiate soccer player from Philadelphia University, where he was a part of two Sweet Sixteen appearances. In 2011, he was named the Big Apple Soccer New York State Youth Coach of the Year. His illustrious coaching career has spanned over 30 years and has been highlighted by 7 regional championships, 5 national championship appearances, and 2 US Youth National finals appearances.
OFF OF THE FIELD: Coach Nemeth holds a Bachelors Degree from Philadelphia University in Marketing and Psychology, and a Masters Degree from Adelphi University in K-12 Physical Education. He has over 23 years of teaching experience.
LALIGA FORMATION METHODOLOGY
ASA is one of only a handful of soccer clubs in the nation to receive Part 1 & Part 2 certifications in the LaLiga Formation Methodology. This methodology focuses on the development of players in the following areas:

Whether you live in Terryville, Smithtown, Sachem, Mount Sinai, or Longwood, we have elite soccer programs for a variety of age groups, including U9, U10, and U12.
THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY TO TRAIN
Our programs focus on developing the most important skills for soccer players, including playing out of the back, maintaining ball possession, collectively organizing around the ball, passing to move your opponent, finishing in the final third, as well as defensive aspects of the game.
CAMPS AND CLINICS
Our ASA camps and clinics are designed to create an atmosphere that encourages and develops players of all ages and abilities to reach their full potential. The training methods used will aim to foster the players love for the game using a progressive curriculum, within a positive, fun camp environment. In addition, team camps provide organized teams with a challenging week of competitive pre-season training.

Our elite training programs will progress the skills of any player. Together with our affiliated clubs we are dedicated to a grassroots approach to the development of our players. Our mission is to develop players with fundamental skills and inspire a love for the game.
TEAM TRAINING
Designed to create a professional practice environment for both teams and individual players, our team training programs focus on improving the technical and tactical skills of our players. Coaches will have the opportunity to select from various training packages in order to customize the level of involvement and instruction from their ASA trainer.
